Looks Kind of Escher-ish..
Yeah, so this is an “Escher-esque walking simulator” game I made for Android phones. Made in only a day, I created it to test out camera edge detection in Unity. That’s the black and white outlines. You can walk around and look with the gyro on your phone. Walk around, explore, but no objective though.
Why I Made This
Setting up my new laptop. I wanted to make sure I could export to Android with nothing missing. That way I can make games sitting at the beach offline. Plus it sounded like a cool concept.
What I Made vs. Pre-made
I used a free tree asset from the Unity asset store. I also used a standard water asset. Lastly, I used a standard edge detection image effect. I re-purposed old gyroscope code and followed a joystick tutorial to create the interface.
