First Realistic Light in Unity
After following many tutorials on YouTube and on Unity’s site, I created this project from memory from scratch.
The ball uses a simple reflective material with some metallicness for it’s light highlight(a fully reflective surface wouldn’t show this). The scene has ambient global illumination enabled so the red and green walls reflect green and red light when the light hits them. Giving the floor and the cube a yellow hint, they’re white, but the combination of GI and yellow directional light makes them a different color.
If you’re new to Unity, I’d highly recommend following this tutorial. It’s not too slow or complicated and he explains things very very well.
